Position Title: Retail Manager – Specialist South African Biltong Shop

Location: Gold Coast, QLD, Australia
Full Time Position 40 hours a week.
Salary: AUD 76,515 per annum plus superannuation (negotiable based on skills and experience)

The Biltong Boss Pty Ltd operates a specialty retail store supplying South African style biltong and related products. We are seeking a hands‑on Retail Manager to run day‑to‑day store operations, supervise staff and deliver excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily store operations including opening and closing
- Supervise, train and roster staff to ensure adequate coverage
- Maintain stock levels and product quality for South African style biltong and related products
- Serve customers and provide product information
- Monitor sales and assist with in‑store promotions
- Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety and company procedures
- Report to the business owner as required
About you
- Minimum 3 years experience in retail or customer‑facing store management
- Proven experience supervising staff, handling cash, and managing opening/closing procedures
- Product knowledge of South African style biltong and dried meats, or a strong willingness and ability to learn quickly
- Solid customer service focus and good verbal communication skills
- Organised, reliable and able to maintain store presentation and food safety standards
