In 2023, HOTA joined Experience Gold Coast, which combines HOTA, Study Gold Coast, Destination Gold Coast and Major Events Gold Coast in an exciting new chapter.
Experience Gold Coast assumes a significant responsibility in growing the visitor economy of the city, with a clear objective of positioning the Gold Coast as the lifestyle capital of Australia. As a newly formed entity, Experience Gold Coast is focused on supercharging tourism, events, arts & culture, and education outcomes for the City of Gold Coast.
The Position
Whether our guests are meeting friends for a long lazy lunch, enjoying an early coffee and cake after a walk through the HOTA Gallery or relaxing over sunset drinks, the HOTA Precinct is the perfect place to unwind and connect with old friends and current.
As a Barista at the HOTA Precinct, you will join our dynamic, dedicated, and passionate team in providing an exemplary experience to our guests. You’ll warmly greet customers, answer inquiries, take orders, process payments with efficiency and so much more!
In this role, you’ll also help maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked outlets, ensuring the workspace and dining areas are always inviting.
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Minimum of 2 years barista experience in a high-volume environment
- Proven experience in a fast‑paced restaurant or café
- Bar experience preferred
- Strong coffee and machine knowledge
- The ability to multitask and keep your cool in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
- Team player
- Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position
- Ability to work shifts including late nights, weekends and public holidays
