Your new role:
As an Administrative Officer, you will provide high-quality confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Director and multidisciplinary team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the department.
- Provide comprehensive administrative and executive support, including diary management, meeting coordination, correspondence, travel arrangements, and secretariat services.
- Act as the primary point of contact for departmental communications, managing enquiries and coordinating the flow of information with professionalism and discretion.
- Support workforce administration through recruitment coordination, rostering, payroll and leave processing, and maintaining accurate records using Queensland Health systems.
About you:
We're seeking a proactive and organised administration professional who thrives in a busy healthcare environment and enjoys supporting a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated experience providing confidential administrative and secretarial support, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and provide exceptional customer service to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with experience using Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn corporate systems and processes.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
