The opportunity

Saab Australia is an industry participant in the Combat Systems Integration – Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT) Collaboration Agreement (CSI-IPT CCA). The CSI-IPT CCA forms a collaborative enterprise organisation to execute scopes of work across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and other related Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrades) and the Hunter Class Frigates (HCFs - SEA5000 Phase 1). This will see independently executed programs such as SEA4000 Phase 6 and SEA5000 Phase 1 brought under one umbrella enterprise organisation, the CSI-IPT.

The CSI-IPT will be built up with personnel from three industry participants and the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) to form a collaborative team working across multiple programs to leverage synergies between platforms.

The role

The Senior Accountant - Reporting & Planning role will support the Finance Lead CSI-IPT in maintaining the financial functions within the Program to ensure integrity and transparency of financial data to facilitate planning and decision-making for the CSI-IPT.

Further, the successful candidate will:

- Prepare and review of consolidated monthly management reporting, including CSI Report, tasking statement status reports and CSIP finance performance packs.
- Prepare and review of variance reporting versus prior forecasts and budgets.
- Prepare, development and review of the workshare cost model and delivery of reporting and stakeholder briefings.
- Conduct CSI-IPT blended rates analysis, funding analysis, indexation impacts analysis, enterprise cost base analysis and reporting.
- Co-ordinate and assist in the preparation and review of the CSI-IPT annual budget, re-forecasts and long-range Plan.
- Prepare independent finance reviews of tasking statement (bid) submissions, CCPs and associated artefacts.
- Provide Ad-hoc pricing support including BOE and artefact development.
- Improve and establish processes used to calculate accurate, timely and efficient reporting of the financial results for the Program.
- Operate, maintain and improve budgeting and forecasting processes for the project.
- Maintain standard rates for wages, travel and overheads.
- Provide ad-hoc assistance and analysis to the Finance Lead CSI-IPT as required.
- Ensure a robust project accounting system is implemented and maintained by IPs and the CSI-IPT.
- Conduct improvement & development of financial and project related processes and governance.
- Compliance to Corporate guidelines,



policies and procedures as well as accounting standards and legislation.

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Business Management or related area.
- CA or CPA qualified with ongoing membership.
- High level knowledge of Management Accounting and Project Accounting.
- Medium level knowledge in statutory reporting, Corporate Taxes and Indirect Taxes.
- Budget and forecasting experience.
- Foreign currency exposure experience.
- Demonstrated experience in Finance related roles.

Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
