- Raise and manage purchase orders to ensure materials are delivered on time and in accordance with production schedules.
- Analyse supplier pricing, quotations, lead times, and commercial terms to ensure the best value and most appropriate sourcing decisions.
- Review, validate, and cross-check Bills of Materials (BOMs), costing sheets, spreadsheets, and procurement documentation to ensure component accuracy, pricing integrity, and manufacturing requirements are met.
- Maintain and update procurement data, supplier pricing, product information, and inventory records within ERP systems and spreadsheets.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock to maintain optimal material availability while minimising excess inventory.
- Coordinate with Project Coordination to ensure materials are available to meet manufacturing deadlines and customer delivery commitments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, reliable supply, and quality outcomes.
- Source new products and alternative suppliers to improve quality, reduce costs, and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Ensure purchased components comply with product specifications, quality standards, and company requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance, including delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.
- Investigate and resolve supply shortages, pricing discrepancies, delivery issues, and quality concerns to minimise disruption to production.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, reduce costs, and increase supply chain efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, inventory management, and manufacturing operations.
You will have:
- Experience in procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing, furniture, fit-out, or industrial environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret pricing, compare supplier quotations, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs), product specifications, and detailed costing information.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience managing large spreadsheets and procurement data.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify discrepancies across multiple data sources.
