Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Trade Scheduler to join their construction operations team, coordinating trade resources and build programmes across a large portfolio of residential projects.

Previous scheduling experience is advantageous, however we are also keen to speak with experienced Carpenters, Site Supervisors and Customer Service professionals from residential building backgrounds who possess a solid understanding of the construction process and can confidently communicate with trades and site teams.

What you'll be doing:
- Coordinate and manage trade schedules across multiple residential construction projects
- Liaise with subcontractors to ensure trades are scheduled in line with construction programmes
- Monitor build progress and adjust schedules to minimise delays
- Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and trade availability issues
- Maintain strong working relationships with Site Supervisors, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Assist with forecasting trade requirements and subcontractor capacity
- Ensure scheduling information is accurately maintained within internal systems
- Monitor trade performance and assist with resource planning
- Support the construction team in achieving build time and customer service targets
- Coordinate with suppliers, trades and construction personnel to ensure smooth project delivery
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across scheduling operations
Who we're looking for:
This role could suit an experienced Trade Scheduler, however we are also interested in speaking with candidates from broader residential construction backgrounds.
If you've worked as a Carpenter, Site Supervisor, Customer Service Coordinator or in a similar role within a volume building environment and have a genuine understanding of how homes are built, we'd love to hear from you.
The ability to build strong relationships with trades,
understand construction sequencing and confidently communicate with subcontractors is far more significant than having previously held the title of Trade Scheduler.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in residential construction, scheduling, construction administration or project coordination
- Alternatively, experience as a Carpenter, Site Supervisor or Customer Service Coordinator within a residential building company
- Comprehensive understanding of the residential construction process from site start through to handover is essential
- Ability to communicate effectively with trades, subcontractors and construction personnel
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer literacy and systems capability
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, trades or construction activities highly regarded
