About the role
SET Consultants is a highly reputable multi-disciplinary firm in Nowra providing surveying, engineering, town planning and environmental & bushfire services to a broad range of clients on the South Coast & Surrounds.

We are seeking a Survey and GIS Draftsperson to join our team in a full-time capacity.

In this role, you will play a key part in the successful delivery of projects by working closely with our surveyors, engineers, town planners and environmental consultants. You will be responsible for producing accurate and high-quality technical drawings and documentation that meet project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory obligations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a broad range of projects while further developing your technical and professional skills.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans, and documentation using industry-standard CAD software.

- Maintain accuracy and consistency across all drawing packages, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and client specifications.

- Update and revise drawings based on feedback throughout the project lifecycle.

- Produce documentation including survey plans and sketches, site & site analysis plans for development applications, bushfire & environmental layout plans etc.





- Ensure all drawings are properly titled, dimensioned, scaled and annotated for clarity and constructability.

- Manage drawing files and maintain organised project documentation within our systems framework.

- Liaise with construction teams and contractors to clarify drawing details and resolve technical queries.

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bricscad or Similar software.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality technical documentation.

- The ability to interpret survey data, sketches, and design concepts and translate them into detailed working drawings.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team workplace.

- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
