A Day in the Life, with Uniting Aged Care

Role Purpose

Based at one of our South Coast residential facilities (location depending on you), the Personal Assistant and Project Officer role is responsible for providing direct administrative support to the Head of Residential Operations and the wider local operational team.

With a focus on the provision of timely and professional support, you’ll use your administrative, logistical, and secretarial expertise to assist the team in day to day activities and aid the coordination of specific local projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage diary appointments, meetings and travel for the Head Of Seniors Services
- Provide the Head of Residential Operations with all relevant information to facilitate preparation for meetings, projects and priorities.
- Be involved in and coordinate local project activities as directed by the Head of Residential Operations.
- Assist the wider Residential Aged and Health Care Team with general day to day support
- Assist with rostering support and employment changes (on/off boarding) for South Coast residential facilities when required.




- Maintain a high standard of conduct and work performance to promote our reputation with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain effective team relationships – within own team and across business streams / functions.
- Contribute to the implementation of Uniting policies, processes, systems and platforms (including technology) so as to ensure efficiency of the wider organisation.

About You

Typically, this role requires at least 5 years’ experience in a similar administrative role with exposure to projects, as well as:

- Advanced level of computer literacy and competency in IT software packages (experience with Dayforce highly regarded but not required)
- Demonstrated experience in minute taking, either computerised or shorthand
- Attention to detail and an ability to translate documents into various formats
- Some experience with coordinating rosters, on and offboarding, and role transfers
- Demonstrated passion for social change and contributing to an organisation of influence for the most disadvantaged
- Experience navigating a complex organisation, forging relationships, and managing through influence rather than direct authority as required
