Technology Bar & Provisioning Engineer

Position Summary

The Technology Bar & Provisioning Engineer serves as the frontline face of IT, delivering exceptional walk-up support services while managing the end-to-end provisioning and lifecycle management of workplace technology assets. The role is responsible for providing hands-on technical support, device deployment, onboarding support, hardware refresh activities, asset management, and ensuring seamless technology experiences for end users.

Working closely with Service Desk, End User Computing (EUC), Infrastructure, Security, the engineer ensures users receive secure, compliant and fully operational technology solutions that enable productivity and business.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Bar Operations

- Provide face-to-face IT support to employees through the Technology Bar.

- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, mobility, printing, and peripheral-related issues.

- Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure a positive end-user experience.

- Support VIP and executive users where required.

- Coordinate with Service Desk and specialist support teams for escalations.

- Maintain a professional and organized Technology Bar environment.

Device Provisioning & Lifecycle Management

- Build, image, configure, and deploy Windows, macOS, laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.

- Provision devices for new hires, employee transfers, replacements, and technology refresh initiatives.

- Manage hardware refresh, relocation, replacement,



and decommissioning activities.

- Ensure all devices comply with organizational security and configuration standards.

- Validate successful deployment and user readiness before handover.

Asset & Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate asset records within ITSM and CMDB platforms.

- Track device lifecycle from procurement through retirement.

- Manage loan devices, accessories, peripherals, and Technology Bar inventory.

- Support audits and ensure asset compliance.

- Coordinate asset recovery and secure disposal activities.

Operational & Deployment Support

- Deploy monitors, docking stations, printers, mobile devices and workplace peripherals.

- Support workplace relocations, desk setups, office moves, and technology rollouts.

- Assist with deployment of shared devices, meeting room technology, kiosks, barcode scanners, and handheld devices.

- Support hardware rebuilds and remediation activities.

Service Management

- Record, update, and manage incidents and service requests through ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tools.

- Ensure adherence to SLA and customer experience targets.

- Maintain accurate technical documentation and knowledge articles.

- Participate in continuous service improvement initiatives.

Required Technical Skills

- Microsoft Windows 10/11 Administration

- macOS Support

- Microsoft 365 Suite

- Intune / Endpoint Management

- Mobile Device Management (iOS & Android)

- Hardware Diagnostics and Break/Fix

- ServiceNow or ITSM Platforms

- Asset Management & CMDB

- Printer and Peripheral Support

- Meeting room technology support

- Basic Networking and Connectivity Troubleshooting

Required Experience

- 4-6 years of experience in EUC, Desktop Support, Tech Bar, Service Desk or Onsite Support environments.

- Hands-on experience with device provisioning and lifecycle management.

- Experience supporting enterprise workplace technologies.

- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.





- Experience working in SLA-driven support environments.

Preferred Skills

- Microsoft SCCM and JAMF

- Microsoft Intune

- Mobile Device mgmt. solution - Workspace One

- ITIL Foundation Certification

- Experience with Zero-Touch Provisioning

- Knowledge of Device Lifecycle Management processes

- Experience supporting large retail or enterprise environments
