About the role
Want to put your civil construction experience to work on one of Queensland's major renewable energy projects?
DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join our team delivering the Smoky Creek Solar Farm near Westwood, Queensland.
Operating on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Brisbane to Rockhampton, with full camp accommodation and a 20% site uplift, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of civil construction activities. Working closely with the Civil Superintendent and Construction Manager, you'll lead site crews and subcontractors, coordinate plant, labour and materials, and keep works moving safely and efficiently.
You'll be hands-on across the construction programme, from site preparation and civil works through to supporting the installation of tracker systems and other key solar infrastructure. It's an opportunity to bring strong civil leadership experience into the renewable energy sector while contributing to the delivery of a significant utility-scale solar project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day civil construction activities, site crews and subcontractors to achieve safety, quality, programme and productivity targets
- Coordinate plant, labour,
materials and subcontract resources while managing daily and weekly construction priorities
- Oversee civil works supporting tracker systems, solar infrastructure and broader site development
- Monitor construction progress, resolve site and technical issues and work closely with the Superintendent and Construction Manager
- Lead pre-starts and toolbox meetings while driving a strong safety, quality and high-performance culture across site
- Support planning, scheduling, cost control, ITPs and reporting to keep works aligned with project requirements
Profile description:
About You
- Trade qualification or equivalent, Construction White Card and a valid driver's licence
- 10+ years' construction experience with previous experience leading crews in a supervisory capacity
- Strong civil construction background, ideally with exposure to utility-scale renewable energy or major infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to lead workforces and subcontractors while coordinating plant, labour, materials and construction activities
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, plans and drawings and confidently resolve issues in the field
- Solid leadership, planning and communication skills with a practical, hands-on approach to site delivery
