A growing national construction business is seeking experienced, hands-on Construction Managers to lead site operations across a range of projects.
This is an prospect to take ownership of a project from mobilisation through to practical completion, leading site teams, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
About the Role
You'll be the person on site who makes the day work — leading the crew, keeping subcontractors moving, identifying issues before they become delays and setting the safety standard every day.
You'll report to a Senior Project Manager and work closely with the Project Manager, who will support you with programme, budget and client management while you take ownership of day-to-day site delivery.
This is a full-time, site-based role. You'll be dedicated to one project for its duration, giving you the opportunity to properly own the job from start to finish rather than constantly moving between sites.
What You'll Be Doing

- Direct subcontractors and trades on a day-to-day basis
- Run pre-starts, toolbox talks and site coordination meetings
- Set and maintain a strong safety culture on site
- Drive production against the project programme and identify slippage early
- Manage site logistics, deliveries, plant, equipment and materials
- Monitor quality and ensure inspection and test requirements are maintained
- Maintain project quality documentation and ensure works meet required standards
- Represent the business on site with clients, consultants,
certifiers and authorities
- Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager
- Identify and escalate project risks, delays and issues before they impact delivery
- Coordinate defects, commissioning and handover through to practical completion
What We're Looking For
- Trade qualification and/or diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Several years' hands-on experience managing construction sites
- Experience leading site crews, subcontractors and multiple trades
- A proven ability to drive productivity and keep projects on programme
- A genuine safety-first mindset — you set the standard rather than simply ticking the box
- Strong organisation and the ability to manage a fast-moving site
- Clear, practical communication skills and the confidence to make decisions on site
- Ability to identify problems early and take action to resolve them
- Current White Card and driver's licence
What's On Offer
- Ownership of site delivery
- Support from an experienced Senior Project Manager and Project Manager
- Vehicle
- Strong pipeline of national projects
- Opportunity for career progression as the business continues to grow
- A safety-focused organisation that gives site leaders the authority to lead
- Opportunities across Sydney, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane
- The opportunity to work on substantial projects with experienced construction professionals
