An established, privately owned organisation operating across the resources and industrial services sector is seeking a Senior Finance Manager - Projects to join its Brisbane-based finance team.
This chance will suit someone with a strong technical accounting foundation who wants to move beyond traditional reporting and compliance and play a more commercially influential role across the business.
Working closely with senior leadership and operational stakeholders, you will use financial insight to challenge thinking, improve decision-making and help the business understand how finance can directly contribute to stronger commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational and senior stakeholders to provide financial insight, challenge and commercial recommendations.
- Lead and support finance projects focused on improving performance, processes, reporting and decision-making.
- Translate complex financial information into clear commercial insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, performance analysis and broader strategic initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and financial outcomes across the business.
About You
- Strong accounting and technical finance foundation, ideally CA or CPA qualified.
- Experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Management Accountant, Commercial Finance or similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to business partner, influence stakeholders and communicate beyond the numbers.
- Commercially curious, adaptable and motivated by understanding how the wider business operates.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on SME or similarly dynamic environment and being office-based five days per week.
The organisation is open to candidates from outside the mining and resources sector. Broader commercial experience within an SME, industrial, services, construction, manufacturing or similarly operational environment will be highly regarded.
