Position: Statutory Planner
Position Number: 000777 and 000711

Employment Status: Fixed-term full time (24 Months) and Ongoing full-time
Location: Kingston, Civic Centre
Salary range: $94,895 - $104,849 depending on skills and experience + 12.5% superannuation
About this position:
We are seeking two experienced and motivated statutory planners to join our planning team. This recruitment process will fill two vacancies: one ongoing full-time position and one 24-month fixed-term contract position.
In this role, you will assess development applications, undertake site inspections, prepare planning reports and recommendations, and provide advice to developers, consultants, government agencies and the community. You will also support planning compliance and enforcement activities, contribute to tribunal matters when required, and work collaboratively across Council to deliver effective and customer-focused planning services.
About You
- Relevant qualifications in Planning or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in statutory planning and development assessment.
- Strong knowledge of planning legislation and planning schemes.
- Excellent communication, report writing and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and provide professional support within a team environment.
