Whitsunday Crocodile Safari, operating qualified day tours on Proserpine River for over 24 years, has a vacancy for a tour guide.
The position:
Permanent position (subject to 6 months probation)
Full time hours, on a regular 5 days on 2 days off roster, with some flexibility required due to operational requirements.
Will include working on weekends, public and school holidays.
The role:
Providing informative commentary while guiding guests on a nature experience on Proserpine River estuary and its adjoining wetland workplace.
Skippering a 7.3 metre, 32 seat commercial viewing vessel on Proserpine River.
Driving a tractor drawn wagon train through wetlands and pastures.
Driving a 14 seat mini bus,
transferring guests to and from accommodation.
Preparation and service of damper, billy tea and BBQ lunch.
Offering quality customer service throughout the day tour.
The person:
Experience working in the tourism industry as a tour guide is ESSENTIAL.
Customer service experience in the tourism industry is ESSENTIAL.
A permanent resident of Australia is ESSENTIAL.
Hold an LR driver’s licence and Driver Authorisation, or have the ability to obtain these on commencement.
Must have a keen interest in nature and wildlife and enjoy working outdoors.
