Position Summary The Property Manager is responsible for coordinating the maintenance, presentation, and operational performance of a commercial property portfolio. Acting as the primary point of contact for tenants on maintenance and service matters, the role manages contractors and oversees service and maintenance activities.
Practical handyman skills will be viewed as an advantage but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Property Maintenance Coordination
· Coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities across the property portfolio.
· Respond to maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner.
· Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
Tenant & Contractor Management
· Serve as the first point of contact for tenants regarding maintenance and service requests.
· Liaise directly with tenants to assess issues, coordinate access, and provide regular updates.
· Engage, coordinate, and supervise external contractors for plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, building, landscaping, and other specialist services.
· Monitor contractor performance, ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule,
and to the required standard.
General Site Support
· Provide practical assistance on-site where required to support maintenance or project delivery.
· Maintain a protected, organised, and professional work workplace.
· Support the wider property management team with operational activities as required.
Skills & Experience
· Experience in property maintenance coordination, facilities management, building management, or commercial property operations.
· Demonstrated experience managing contractors and coordinating maintenance works.
· Practical handyman or general maintenance skills are advantageous but not essential.
· Solid organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
· Current driver's licence.
Reporting Relationships
Reports to the Director and works closely with tenants, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure the effective operation and continual improvement of the property portfolio.
