Paul Bennet Airshows is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Event Assistant to support the delivery of our airshow calendar from planning through to in office execution. This is a outstanding entry point into the live events industry for someone with a moderate amount of experience. Mentorship will be provided, so we're less focused on years of experience and more interested in your work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to stay organised under pressure.
We are a small team with a passion for delivering world-class events that inspire and leave jaws on the floor. The Paul Bennet Airshows team includes some of the best Pilots in the world and this role helps to ensure that the tens of thousands of people who watch them across Australia each year have a fantastic experience that’s memorable for all the right reasons.
You’ll work closely with, and be mentored by, the Event Manager across the full event lifecycle — from administration and planning through to bump‑in, event‑day operations,
and bump‑out — building hands‑on skills in how a qualified event is really run.
Key Responsibilities
Event Administration
Provide general administrative support, including correspondance, filing, data entry, and record‑keeping
Help maintain event timelines, checklists, and trackers under guidance from the Event Manager
Assist with basic budget tracking
Proof reading documents
Help coordinate vendor bookings and communications ahead of each event
Assist with on‑site vendor bump‑in and bump‑out, guiding vendors to their designated spots, troubleshooting etc.
Be a friendly on‑site point of contact for vendors, escalating any issues to the Event Manager
Signage & Site Presentation
Help develop signage plans alongside the Event Manager, using site maps and branding guidelines
Keep track of signage inventory, what has been ordered and where each
