Our client, a national mid-tier law firm with a well-regarded construction practice, is looking for an Associate to join their Brisbane team. The group advises across the full project lifecycle, with particular strength in front end advisory work, though candidates with blended front and back end experience are equally encouraged to apply.

The role

You'll work across a mix of:
Front end advisory including contract drafting and negotiation, procurement strategy, risk allocation, security of payment advice
Back end matters; disputes, adjudications, and dispute resolution (if you bring blended experience)
Direct exposure to developers, contractors, and government clients on projects spanning infrastructure, commercial, and residential

The team has a solid pipeline of work and a genuine preference for lawyers who enjoy the transactional/advisory side of construction,



without needing to give up litigation exposure entirely.

About you
3–6 years' PQE in construction and infrastructure
Front end experience desirable; blended front/back end highly regarded
Robust technical grounding, with the confidence to manage client relationships directly
Based in Brisbane, or open to relocating from Sydney or Melbourne for the right opportunity
