DC Smoke Alarms is a leading Brisbane-based smoke alarm compliance company working across residential properties throughout South East Queensland.
Due to growth, we are seeking 2 full time Smoke Alarm Technicians to join our field service team, covering North and Central Brisbane. This role involves installing, testing, servicing and maintaining smoke alarms in rental properties to ensure compliance with Queensland legislation. If you have experience in smoke alarms, property maintenance, electrical trade support or field technician work, or you're mechanically minded and looking for a reliable career change, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
You will attend scheduled residential properties each day to:
Install and replace smoke alarms
Test and service existing alarms
Complete other compliance items (e.g. safety switch push button testing, blind cord compliance)
Identify expired, damaged or incorrectly located units
Complete compliance reports using our mobile app
Provide professional service to tenants and property managersAll appointments are pre-booked and routes are planned in advance. You will work independently in a structured environment, supported by our scheduling and compliance team.

What We’re Looking For
Current Driver's Licence
White Card (or willingness to obtain)
Strong attention to detail
Practical, hands-on ability
Confidence using mobile technology
Professional communication skills
Experience in smoke alarm servicing, electrical assistance, fire protection, maintenance, property services or other trade-related roles will be highly regarded.
