Our client a long-standing provider of overhead high voltage maintenance and asset management services has grown into a trusted partner to electricity distribution networks, utilities, infrastructure owners, councils, and large industrial customers.

With a robust focus on safety, compliance and delivery excellence, they continue to expand their project portfolio and as such, are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team, located in the north-west of Melbourne CBD.

The mandate for this role is to deliver end-to-end management of protected and cost-effective solutions for high, medium, and low-voltage electrical assets, from routine inspection and preventative maintenance through to complex live-line works, emergency response, network augmentation, and turnkey project delivery; delivered safely, on time, within budget and in full compliance with regulatory and client requirements.

This position represents a key stakeholder role and offers a defined pathway for succession into the role of Operations Manager.

Reporting to the General Manager, key responsibilities:
Lead and mentor site supervisors and project teams.




Manage multiple transmission maintenance and electrical projects from planning through to completion.
Develop and manage project programs, budgets, forecasts and cost controls.
Ensure strict compliance with WHS, environmental and electrical safety standards.
Liaise with transmission network service providers, utility and infrastructure clients, and regulatory authorities.
Manage subcontractors, plant, materials and logistics.
Prepare project documentation, reports and progress claims.
Identify and manage project risks, variations and change controls.

Must-Haves
Qualifications in relevant technical field – engineering or related discipline.
VEDN, VESI accreditation and Project Management qualification (PM2 or equivalent) is essential.
5 years plus in the leadership and project management of high voltage transmission or powerline maintenance projects.
High level of computer literacy (MS Project, Excel, project reporting systems).
Excellent knowledge of WHS legislation and electrical safety systems.
