Our client is a 34yo male, who lives independently in his own home in Greensborough and receives24-hour support 7 days per weekprovided by a2:1 staffing model, meaning you will always work alongside another support worker.
Your role is to build trust, provide encouragement, promote independence and ensure his health, well being and safety while supporting him to enjoy life at home and in his community.
This is not your typical disability support role.

About the Role
We are seeking reliable, proactive, and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our small, dedicated team.
This role supports a man living with complex epilepsy, Autism, intellectual disability, behaviors of concern.
Because this role involves managing high-intensity daily personal activities, we require workers who are confident, observant, and calm under pressure.
You will be responsible for ensuring safety, managing daily routines, and providing emergency medical support when required.
Your Key Responsibilities
As part of our specialist SIL team, you will:
Active Monitoring:Maintain a high level of supervision to identify seizure triggers and early warning signs.
Plan Implementation:Strictly follow the participant's personalized Epilepsy Management Plan (EMP) and Emergency Medication Management Plan (EMMP).
Emergency Response:Confidently administer emergency rescue medication (Midazolam via buccal route during a seizure event as per the protocol).
Administer other medications in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Have extensive experience working with participants with Autism and behaviors of concern
Documentation:Accurately document seizure activity (duration, type, triggers, and medication recovery times) in the daily client management system.
Documentation:Clear concise client management electronics case notes and incident reports
Community & Daily Living:
Assist our client with his ADL's across his home, and maintain a safe and clean residence
Provide respectful, person-centred support
Assist with all personal care and hygiene, showering and toileting and personal grooming
Support meal preparation and healthy living
Support our client with his ADL's
Implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies




Support emotional regulation
Support community participation, and at home recreational activities
Promote safe community access
Work collaboratively with your teammate and allied health professionals
Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Certificate 4 in Disability - either completed or in training
Other certification accepted: Mental Health, Allied Health, Youth Support Worker, Social Worker
Current Certified Seizure & Midazolam Trained - Completed within the last 12 months through a recognized provider (e.g., Epilepsy Foundation).
First Aid & CPR Certificate: Current and up to date.
NDIS Worker Screening Check:
Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Modules
NDIS Code of Conduct
Food handling certified
National Police Check
Driver's License
Excellent communicator
