Campaspe Port Enterprises (CPE) is looking for a Finance Administration Officer to keep our financial operations running accurately and efficiently, so our team can stay focused on delivering exceptional visitor experiences.
CPE is an independent company established to lead tourism development within the iconic Port of Echuca precinct.

About the role
This is a hands-on role where accuracy, reliability and a proactive mindset matter.
You'll own the day-to-day finance function from payroll and accounts payable through to bank reconciliations, cash handling and providing trusted support to the CEO and broader management team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Maintain and regularly update the Xero accounting package
Process fortnightly payroll including superannuation and payroll-related payments
Receive, code and match supplier invoices to purchase orders or approvals; prepare payment runs for CEO authorisation and handle supplier queries
Count, reconcile and bank all daily cash takings
Provide accounts receivable support including raising customer invoices, allocating receipts, following up outstanding debtors and reporting on aged receivables
Complete regular bank, credit card and cash reconciliations in Xero, resolving discrepancies and preparing reconciliations for CEO review and sign-off
Manage incoming financial correspondence in a timely and professional manner
Support records and filing, meeting preparation, document management and general office administration
Provide internal customer support to a consistently high standard
Contribute ideas and participate in continuous improvement processes
Other duties within training and competencies as required
About you
You're organised, dependable and take real pride in getting the details right.
You work well with limited supervision and aren't fazed by a varied workload.
You will have:
Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or equivalent — or a minimum of two years' bookkeeping experience
Sound working knowledge of Australian accounting standards, GST and payroll obligations
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including maintaining workbooks for reconciliations, budgets and reporting
Experience in Xero, with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems
Working knowledge of payroll systems, preferably Employment Hero
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work to deadlines and operate with limited supervision
Well-developed communication and organisational skills
High level of integrity, accountability and attention to detail
