IDT Australia is seeking an experiencedProject Engineerto join our Engineering team on a casual basis to support an exciting period of increased project activity.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with around3–5 years' experiencein pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food or other highly regulated manufacturing industries who enjoys working across a variety of engineering projects rather than sitting behind a desk all day.
You'll work alongside an experienced engineering team delivering facility upgrades, equipment installations, process improvements and qualification activities while supporting manufacturing operations across our GMP pharmaceutical facility.
No two days are the same.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll lead smaller engineering projects from concept through to implementation while providing technical engineering support across the site.
Typical work may include:
Delivering capital and operational improvement projects
Preparing project scopes, budgets and technical specifications
Coordinating contractors and external vendors
Supporting equipment installation, commissioning and qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)
Assisting with validation documentation where required
Supporting engineering investigations and technical problem solving
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and increased manufacturing efficiency
Working closely with Production, Quality, Validation, Maintenance and Operations teams
Ensuring all engineering activities comply with GMP, quality and safety requirements
About You:
We're looking for someone who enjoys variety and can quickly integrate into an experienced engineering team.
You'll ideally bring:
Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering
Approximately3–5 years' engineering experiencewithin pharmaceutical or another regulated manufacturing environment
Experience delivering engineering or capital projects
Exposure to GMP manufacturing environments
Experience working with contractors and suppliers
Strong technical problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments
Desirable experience includes:
Qualification and Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
Process improvement or Lean Manufacturing
Pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities
Utilities and process equipment
AutoCAD or similar design software
Project management methodologies
