The Red Decker Company is a proudly Tasmanian, family-owned tourism business operating the iconic Red Decker Hop-On Hop-Off Bus, the Kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus and the Coal River Valley Explorer.
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Trade Assistance to help keep our vehicles, depot and facilities operating to the highest standard.
This is a hands-on role.

About the role:
As a Trade Assistant, you will:
Play an important role in maintaining our fleet and our workshop/depot.
Support qualified trades people in maintaining our bus fleet.
Assist with preparing bus fleet for daily operations while maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Minor bus fleet maintenance and minor repairs.
Support qualified trades people in maintaining our bus fleet workshop which may include completing parts runs and collecting supplies as required.
Maintaining a clean, organised and protected workshop environment.




Assist with day to day operational and general duties as directed.
About you
Reliable and trustworthy with a strong work ethic
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail
Safety conscious and a sound knowledge of workplace health and safety practice.
Organised and takes pride in maintaining a clean workplace
Physically fit and capable of manual work
Current Australian manual drivers licence
An advantage but not essential:
Forklift licence and/ or
Medium/Heavy rigid licence
What we offer
Full time, part time or casual position available.
Work hours are Monday - Friday.
