We are seeking a skilled and experiencedMotor Mechanicto join our team at Malik Automotive in North Geelong, Victoria.
This is afull-time positionoffering the opportunity to work with a dedicated automotive team, servicing and repairing vehicles to the highest standards.
You will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction, whilst ensuring all vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
What you'll be doing
Diagnosing vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and manual inspection techniques
Performing routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and belt inspections
Repairing and replacing mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, suspension systems and brakes
Conducting electrical system repairs and diagnostics
Servicing air conditioning systems and related components
Performing wheel alignment and tyre balancing
Documenting work completed and maintaining accurate service records
Communicating with customers regarding repair requirements and timescales
Adhering to all health and safety regulations and workshop procedures
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
What we're looking for
A recognised motor mechanic qualification or equivalent experience demonstrating competency in vehicle maintenance and repair




Proven experience working as a motor mechanic in an automotive workshop environment
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
Ability to read and interpret workshop manuals and technical documentation
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers
A commitment to health and safety standards and best practices
Reliability and punctuality
Experience with modern vehicle technology and computerised diagnostic systems is preferred
