We're on the hunt for a Senior Accountant to join our team.
About the Role
As our Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of two companies while collaborating with the group's Manufacturing and Administrative Managers as well as the Director.
You will handle end-to-end accounting, support strategic decision-making, and deliver high-quality financial reporting across fast-moving businesses.
Key Responsibilities
AP, AR and payroll processing together with preparing payment files for upload to bank.
AP tasks include managing the integration with MRP platform and reconciliations with supplier accounts are completed monthly.
Ensure leave and overtime records are prepared and approved prior to payroll processing.
Prepare regulatory obligations (BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax) for lodgement by their due dates.
Monitor cashflow (daily), maintaining rolling cash forecasts.
Perform end of month processes including:
General ledger maintenance and adjusting journal entries,
Bank and balance sheet reconciliations,
Inter-company loan account reconciliations,
Prepare Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statements for each month and year to date.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Identify and propose improvements to financial processes, accounting platforms and internal controls.
Work closely with senior management, procurement and production planning teams to facilitate clear communication.
About You
Degree qualifications an advantage however this could be offset by proven and demonstrable skills in similar roles with greater than 5 years experience.
Proven experience in financial reporting and general ledger management.
Strong analytical skillset, an eye for detail while being able to keep an eye on the big picture.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Xero, Office 365 applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
Experience with Fishbowl inventory management and manufacturing software (MRP) advantageous.
