We are looking for aSenior Cost Controllerto join a major energy player in Brisbane, managing a high-volume portfolio of diverse Brownfield projects.
This is a12-month contractwith a strong likelihood of extension, offering the chance to oversee a solid pipeline of work including bridge removals, facility upgrades, and essential infrastructure projects.

Your Impact
As a subject matter expert, you will provide the leadership and technical guidance necessary to keep projects within budget and on schedule.
Your day-to-day will involve:
Full Lifecycle Controls:Developing detailed budgets, managing periodic forecasting, and monitoring costs vs. budget.
Trend Analysis:Identifying unfavorable trends early and recommending corrective actions to influence project outcomes.
Contractor Management:Partnering with EPC/EPCM contractors to ensure accurate progress reporting and commercial compliance.
Strategic Reporting:Compiling monthly project reports and providing data-driven insights for management presentations.
What You Bring
Industry Expertise:A minimum of10 years' experiencein major capital project execution, ideally withinOil & Gasor extractive industries.
Technical Proficiency:Solid background in Capex/Opex estimating, change control, and cost forecasting.
Experience with SAP, PRISM, or Primavera P6 is a major plus.
Diverse Contract Knowledge:Proven ability to navigate various contract types, including lump sum, unit rate, and reimbursable environments.
Communication Skills:Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to "challenge respectfully" and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
Qualifications:Tertiary degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Commerce/Accounting.
