MacNellies Workplace Safety is seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Service Technician/Manager to join our team in Dalby, QLD. This is a full-time position that combines technical expertise with management responsibilities to oversee fire safety services and ensure compliance with industry standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing fire safety equipment whilst managing team operations and client relationships. This position is based in Dalby, QLD **** and offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in workplace safety across our region.
Key responsibilities
Inspect, test, and maintain fire safety equipment including extinguishers, and emergency lighting
Conduct site audits and assessments to identify fire safety risks and recommend corrective actions
Maintain detailed records of all service activities, maintenance schedules, and compliance documentation
Respond to client enquiries and provide technical advice on fire safety matters
Coordinate with clients to schedule service visits and manage project timelines
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and workplace safety legislation
What we're looking for
Formal qualifications as a Fire Service Technician or equivalent recognised certification in fire safety systems
Current QBCC license- Portable Fire Equipment, Hydrants and Hose Reels
Minimum 2+ years' experience in fire safety servicing, maintenance, or installation
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards relating to fire safety equipment
Valid driver's license
Excellent communication skills and customer service focus




Good personal presentation
Solid attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
Problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude to diagnose and resolve fire safety issues
Commitment to workplace safety and understanding of WHS legislation
Preferably, experience with fire safety compliance software and digital record-keeping systems
