This position is based at our main workshop located at 12 Joseph Baldwin
Place, Shepparton VIC **** . The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the increased workload resulting from business expansion. The role involves working on a wide range of vehicles, diagnosing complex mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all servicing work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Task & responsibilities
Carry out comprehensive diagnostics on petrol and diesel vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment
Perform scheduled servicing, logbook servicing, and preventative maintenance across a wide range of vehicles
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
Repair and replace defective components including engines, transmissions, clutches, brake systems, steering, and suspension components
Conduct safety inspections and roadworthy checks to ensure compliance with Australian standards
Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance
Identify potential mechanical issues and provide recommendations for preventative maintenance
Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and service details
Ensure all work is completed within required timeframes to meet customer and business expectations
Assist in maintaining workshop efficiency and workflow, especially across multiple sites
Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
Adhere strictly to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations and safe work practices
Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workshop environment
Qualification & experience
Relevant qualification:



Certificate III or IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic
Strong knowledge of petrol and diesel engine systems and vehicle components
Experience working in a busy workshop environment
Ability to diagnose complex faults using contemporary diagnostic tools
Strong problem‐solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
