About the Role We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out cabinetry, installation, repair, and maintenance works within residential properties managed by the company.
The role will focus on light kitchen upgrades, cabinet installation, shelving, storage units, furniture installation, doors, trims, internal fittings, minor repairs, and property improvement works required to prepare and maintain co-living houses.
Key Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing timber, laminate, flat-pack, and prefabricated cabinetry components.
Installing and adjusting kitchen cabinets, benchtops, cupboard doors, handles, hinges, drawers, shelving, wardrobes, storage units, and internal fittings.
Completing light kitchen renovation works, including cabinet replacement, fitting adjustments, repairs, and installation of storage solutions.
Installing and repairing doors, skirting boards, architraves, trims, shelves, fixtures, and fittings.
Assembling and installing furniture and built-in storage for rooms and common areas.
Repairing or replacing damaged cabinetry, timber fittings, doors, shelving, and fixtures.
Reading and interpreting measurements, job instructions, product specifications, and site requirements.
Selecting appropriate materials, tools, fixings, and methods for each job.
Supporting property setup works in company-managed co-living properties.
Ensuring all work is completed safely, neatly, and to a professional standard.
Coordinating with maintenance coordinators, painters, cleaners, suppliers,



and other trades where required.
Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a secure and organised condition.
Reporting job progress, materials used, and any site issues to management.
Complying with workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
Skills and Experience Required The successful candidate must have: Minimum 1 year of full-time relevant experience as a Carpenter, Cabinet Maker, Joiner, or similar role, or equivalent pro-rata part-time experience.
Experience with kitchen cabinetry, cabinet installation, furniture installation, shelving, timber repairs, internal fittings, or residential carpentry works.
Ability to measure, cut, assemble, and install cabinetry and timber components accurately.
Ability to use carpentry and cabinetry tools and equipment safely.
Good understanding of residential property setup, repairs, and maintenance requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work to a high standard.
Positive communication and time management skills.
White Card or willingness to obtain one.
Relevant trade qualification, Certificate III, or Recognition of Prior Learning in Carpentry or Cabinet Making will be highly regarded.
Desirable Experience working in residential maintenance, light renovations, kitchen upgrades, property setups, or accommodation-related environments.
Experience installing kitchens, cabinets, wardrobes, shelving, doors, trims, and furniture.
Driver's licence and ability to travel between company-managed properties.
Ability to coordinate with suppliers and other trades on-site.
