Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician | Developing Tech Welcome Melbourne Metro | Take-Home Vehicle | Up to $55ph re you a refrigeration or HVAC technician looking to build stronger commercial refrigeration experience?
This role would suit a developing technician with solid refrigeration fundamentals who wants to grow into broader commercial service work, with support from an experienced service manager and a proper scheduling team.
The work is mainly commercial refrigeration service, maintenance and breakdowns, including ice machines, hospital sites, exhibition centre refurb work and preventive maintenance.
There will also be some installation and refurbishment work when required.
The Role You will be joining a small commercial refrigeration service team of around 8 technicians, supported by a qualified service manager and office-based scheduling/logistics staff.
Most work is across Melbourne, with a strong focus on the South East.
There is also some work across the west, north and Geelong area.
The office is based in South-eastern suburbs of Victoria, although technicians generally start and finish on site.
You will be provided with a take-home twin cab vehicle, such as a BT50 or similar.
Key Responsibilities Service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems Attend breakdowns and preventive maintenance jobs Work on commercial refrigeration equipment including ice machines Carry out work in professional environments such as hospitals and exhibition centres Assist with some installations and refurbishment projects Work with refrigerants including R404, R22, R134A,



R452, R458 and some natural refrigerants Communicate with the service manager, schedulers and clients regarding job progress Participate in an after-hours roster, currently around 1 in 6 What We Are Looking For Trade qualification or equivalent refrigeration/HVAC background Some commercial refrigeration experience preferred Good fault-finding ability for your level of experience Solid attitude, reliability and willingness to keep developing Comfortable working across Melbourne metro Permanent Australian work rights What's On Offer Hourly rate up to around $55ph, depending on experience Take-home twin cab company vehicle Mostly 8:00am to 4:30pm working hours Steady winter preventive maintenance workload Overtime available during busy summer periods After-hours roster around 1 in 6$200 phone allowance when rostered on-cal lDouble time for overtimeSupport from a qualified service manager Opportunity to develop further in commercial refrigeration Why This Role May Suit You This is not a role where you are expected to know everything from day one.The employer is happy to invest in someone still developing, provided you have the right attitude, refrigeration basics and genuine interest in commercial service work.
