About the role A qualified Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining proprietary software applications and systems to support the company's business operations.
Key responsibilities include: Research, consult with and analyse business and user requirements to determine software specifications and system requirements.
Research, analyse and evaluate existing systems and software requirements to support the integration of customer relationship management (CRM), warehouse management, inventory management, supplier ordering and project management systems.
Analyse software specifications and design, develop and modify software systems to improve operational efficiency and support business growth.
Design and develop the overall technical architecture for the company's proprietary software platforms and integrated business applications.
Develop backend services,



database structures and API interfaces to facilitate reliable communication and integration between software modules.
Design, develop, document, test, implement and maintain web-based and mobile software applications in accordance with business requirements.
Execute the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance.
Identify technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems, associated processes, procedures and methods, and recommend software improvements.
Prepare technical specifications, system documentation, flowcharts and software design documentation to support software development and implementation.
Write, test, debug and maintain well-designed, secure and efficient program code to meet operational and business requirements.
Integrate software components into functional business systems and perform software testing, troubleshooting, debugging and quality assurance activities.
Maintain and enhance existing software applications by implementing new features, resolving defects and improving system performance based on user feedback and changing business requirements.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate software technologies, development frameworks and tools to support future system enhancements and business objectives.
Collaborate with management and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure software solutions align with the company's operational requirements and long-term digital transformation strategy.
Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and software support materials to ensure the reliability, security and scalability of the company's software systems.
About the Applicant The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree level qualification and have 1 – 3 years' experience as a software engineer.
