Cook – Werribee VIC Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are assisting a well-established, high-volume dining venue to recruit a professional Cook to join their commercial kitchen team.
Located in the vibrant heart of Werribee, this busy venue features an extensive all-day a-la-carte breakfast, lunch, and menu tailored to a loyal local clientele.
About the role: This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume commercial kitchen environment and takes pride in executing premium menu items.
The successful candidate will be passionate about food, work exceptionally well under pressure, and maintain the highest standards of culinary execution.
Location: Werribee VIC Salary: $80,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum (commensurate with experience) Tenure: Full-time and ongoing Rostered shifts across both weekdays and weekends, as required.
The responsibilities of the position will include: Execute high-standard a-la-carte meal preparation, scratch cooking, and strict quality control of raw ingredients.
Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, and specialized commercial cooking equipment.
Ensure absolute compliance with the HACCP system regarding food handling, maintaining safety logs, and strict hygiene protocols.
Precision portioning and plating of complex food items in accordance with strict company standards and specifications.
Oversee hygienic and temperature-controlled food storage in refrigeration and freezer units.




Assist in the preparation of specialized meals to meet specific dietary requirements.
Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and estimating daily food requirements.
Provide guidance and foundational task-training to kitchen assistants and apprentices as required.

A highly organized working style with the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure environments.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a structured kitchen brigade.
Strong knowledge of current culinary trends and complex commercial food safety practices.
To be successfully considered for the role you MUST possess: A minimum of a highly relevant Certificate IV OR agreed substitute.
At least 3 or more years of verifiable, full-time professional employment experience as a Cook in a similar environment.
Thorough, operational understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP systems.
Full availability across a standard hospitality roster, including weekends.
You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
