Senior Cleaner (Permanent Position)

Fairway Bayside Aged Care is a community-built residential aged care facility nestled in the heart of Sandringham. Located just moments from the beach, our residence offers a vibrant, supportive, and friendly workplace where teamwork and resident wellbeing are at the centre of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain exceptional cleaning and infection control standards throughout the facility.
Lead and coordinate the cleaning team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Mentor, train, and support junior cleaning staff to achieve high performance standards.
Monitor cleaning quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Ensure all resident rooms, common areas, and facility surroundings are presented to the highest standard.
Assist with staff onboarding, coaching, and performance support within the cleaning team.
Report maintenance, safety, and environmental concerns to the Property and Services Manager.
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues,



contributing to a warm and welcoming environment.
Promote protected work practices and compliance with aged care standards and organisational policies.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably within aged care, healthcare, or hospitality.
Demonstrated experience leading and motivating a cleaning team.
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
The ability to mentor and develop junior cleaning staff.
A commitment to delivering exceptional cleaning and infection control standards.
A positive, friendly, and resident-focused approach.
Minimum 2 years' cleaning experience in a residential aged care facility.
Previous experience supervising or leading a cleaning team.
Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices within an aged care environment.
Experience working within quality and accreditation standards in residential aged care.
