Role summary: My client is seeking a CA or CPA-qualified Accountant with 3+ years of experience to join their Sydney-based finance team.
This is a newly created, broad, and hands-on role covering core accounting activities including financial reporting, tax compliance, and day-to-day financial operations.
You will work closely with a high-performing local finance team and gain valuable exposure to digital asset accounting within a regulated, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, and maintain the fixed asset register Support the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with AASB / IFRS Assist with BAS, GST, FBT, and income tax compliance, working alongside external tax advisors Support the annual audit process,



including liaising with external auditors and preparing audit documentation Contribute to improvements in finance processes, internal controls, and system workflows Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to the Financial Controller and CFO Skills Experience CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion) Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience, ideally with a background in public practice (Big 4 or mid-tier) Strong knowledge of AASB / IFRS High attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach to reconciliations and reporting Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a small team Desirable (but not essential) Experience in financial services, fintech, or a regulated environment A demonstrated interest in cryptocurrency, digital assets, or fintech What's on Offer Competitive salary package Exposure to an innovative and fast-growing fintech environment A collaborative, high-performing, and dynamic team culture Ongoing learning and professional development opportunities Strong career growth potential To be considered for this position please apply now with your resume.
