Job Description Qualified Search Group (PSG) We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a high-performing development squad of approximately five developers, looking to expand, responsible for delivering new product enhancements and features.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing software engineering with team leadership.
You'll work closely with the Solution Architect to translate solution designs into well-defined delivery plans, guide the team through implementation, and ensure high-quality outcomes.
This is not a people-management-only position.
You will remain actively involved in software development, contributing code, reviewing designs and pull requests, solving technical challenges, and leading by example.
Note, this is a Perth base role and a requirement to be in the office at least 50% of your work week.
Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of developers, including offshore resources.
Partner with the Solution Architect to break solution designs into Epics and User Stories.
Plan and oversee sprint delivery,



ensuring work is progressing as expected.
Contribute hands-on through coding, code reviews, and technical problem solving.
Ensure solutions meet architecture, quality, security, and engineering standards.
Manage team workload, remove blockers, and support developer growth.
Communicate delivery progress, risks, and dependencies with stakeholders.
Skills Experience Required Strong hands-on experience with C#/.
NET, microservices, SQL Server, and REST APIs.
Experience building modern React applications.
Solid understanding of scalable, reliable software design.
Proven experience leading development teams while remaining hands-on.
Experience planning work, managing sprint delivery, and mentoring developers.
Desirable Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with distributed or offshore teams.
Mining, industrial, or safety-critical software experience.
