About the Position As the Senior Construction Manager, you will provide leadership throughout the Definition Phase Study (DPS) for the Olympic Dam SRE Project.
Reporting to the Construction Director, you will oversee execution planning, constructability, project delivery strategies, and stakeholder engagement while supporting the successful transition into early execution and full construction delivery.
This role offers the opportunity to influence key project outcomes on a significant mining development.
Key Responsibilities Lead construction planning and execution development activities throughout the DPS phase.
Oversee and direct Project Engineers to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
Manage and coordinate assigned project activities in alignment with DPS requirements.
Lead constructability reviews and provide recommendations to improve project execution.
Develop execution strategies in collaboration with Greenfield and Brownfield Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) partners.
Contribute to project scheduling, equipment planning, heavy lift strategies, staffing requirements, and cost planning.




Manage the development of Project Execution Plans, constructability reports, and temporary facilities planning documentation.
Prepare and oversee presentations, spreadsheets, reports, and supporting project documentation.
Conduct construction risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies where required.
Coordinate with technical disciplines, suppliers, contractors, clients, and key stakeholders to deliver integrated project solutions.
Experience Required Extensive experience in a Senior Construction Manager or similar leadership role on large-scale construction or mining projects.
Accredited four-year engineering or construction degree, or a minimum of 20 years' relevant construction experience on major projects.
Demonstrated experience managing construction execution planning and project delivery strategies.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and achieve project objectives.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management, clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Experience leading constructability reviews, project planning, and execution strategy development.
Experience working across Greenfield and Brownfield construction environments is highly desirable.
Modularisation experience will be highly regarded.
Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex project environment.
