With our project pipeline expanding ahead of the Brisbane **** Olympics, CS Development Group is seeking an experienced, trade-qualified Carpenter to join our dedicated on-site construction team.
Key Responsibilities: ·Plan Prepare: Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, shop drawings, and site specifications to determine required timber/materials, calculate dimensions, and plan installation sequences.
· Frame Construct: Measure, cut, assemble, and erect timber wall framing, roof trusses, rafters, floor frameworks, subflooring, and formwork/boxing for concrete pours.
· Interior Exterior Fix: Fit and fix fascia panels, exterior wall cladding, window/door frames, internal joinery, custom cabinetry, doors, hardware, skirtings, and architraves to strict tolerances.
· Site Operations: Set out accurate building lines; safely operate pneumatic, hand, and power tools; inspect completed work to ensure zero defects and strict compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards.
· Safety Coordination:
Coordinate seamlessly with site supervisors, project managers, and sub-trades while strictly adhering to Workplace Health Safety (WHS) site regulations.
Qualifications Essential Criteria: · Qualification: AQF Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification.
· Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant post-qualification work experience as a Carpenter in residential or commercial construction.
· Mandatory Cards Licenses: Valid General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card) and current driver's license.
· Technical Skills: High-level competency in plan/blueprint reading, structural calculations, timber jointing, framing, cladding, and joinery installation.
· Attributes: High attention to detail, physical fitness for manual site labour, strong safety commitment, and ability to work independently or within a site crew.
