Job description Finance Consultant (Level 5) Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Level 5 Finance Consultant to join our clients team on a 3-month contract.
This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong technical capability, particularly within TechnologyOne financial management systems, who can deliver specialist advisory services, support system improvements, and provide training to end users.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial operations, improving processes, ensuring compliance, and enhancing system utilisation across a complex stakeholder environment.
Key Responsibilities Provide expert support and advisory services to end users on financial and accounting operations within school financial management systems, with a focus on TechnologyOne.
Lead and support system conversions, data migration, and financial data analysis, including reviewing and improving financial management practices and chart of accounts structures.
Deliver problem-solving support to ensure accurate system use, legislative compliance, and financial accountability.
Analyse financial data and system issues, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and implement effective resolutions.
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of financial processes, procedures, and guidelines.
Identify and respond to impacts arising from policy changes, financial or taxation reforms, and new technologies or system implementations.
Monitor, review, and verify monthly and biannual financial reporting data to ensure integrity and compliance.




Contribute to the design and development of training materials and assist in the delivery of training programs for finance and administrative staff.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contemporary financial management practices and training methodologies.
Management and Branch Support Support compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
Participate in performance and development activities aligned with organisational goals.
Assist in the delivery of change management initiatives, particularly those related to financial systems improvement.
Represent the broader team in meetings, committees, and project working groups as required.
Client Stakeholder Management Provide guidance and support to stakeholders in integrating financial system enhancements and developments into operational environments.
Deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring stakeholders receive responsive and effective support.
Provide targeted advice, training, and support based on analysis of financial performance and operational needs.
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Promote a continuous improvement culture, focusing on service delivery excellence and user capability uplift.
Essential Requirements Demonstrated experience with TechnologyOne financial systems (mandatory).




Proven experience in financial consultancy, systems support, or financial operations at a senior level.
