We are seeking Database Administrators to join a high-performing Federal Government Department.
The successful Database Administrators will play a key role in deploying, managing and supporting enterprise database platforms, including relational and non-relational databases.
The successful Database Administrators will secure an initial 12-month contract with the view to be extended for 2 years and receive a rewarding hourly rate .
The Database Administrators will be responsible for but not limited to; Installing, configuring, and maintaining scalable, high availability database solutions Managing database upgrades, capacity planning, backup, restore and disaster recovery processes Undertaking performance testing, query tuning and database optimisation activities Applying security controls including patching, user access management, risk assessment Developing technical documentation The Database Administrators will have experience in the following:



Prior experience as a Database Administrator across enterprise environments SQL capability, including developing, deploying and maintaining scalable solutions Experience across database platforms including OLAP , RDBMS, document stores and object stores Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database and system issues to minimise downtime Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders This is an exciting opportunity for Database Administrators looking to join an innovative Federal Agency.
This long-term chance (up to a 3-year engagement) offers an excellent working environment and rewarding contracting rates .
A non-ongoing fixed term arrangement is also available if preferred.
