Fire Technician (Dry Systems) – Canberra Up to $57ph + Vehicle + Super + RDO Work across Defence, Government Major Commercial Sites Diverse Fire Alarm Systems High-Level Technical Work Looking for stability, variety, and career development in fire services?
Join a highly experienced technical team working across critical infrastructure, government, defence, and major commercial clients.
This is a hands-on Fire Technician role with strong support, training, and long-term career progression.
What's in it for you: Up to $60ph + vehicle + super + RDO Flexible working hours to support work-life balance (7am–3pm, 9am–5pm, or 6am–2pm with approval) Work across high-profile sites including Defence, Police, Telstra, Transgrid, Optus government assets Strong focus on training, upskilling, and career progression Supportive, experienced technician team environment Opportunity to work with a wide range of leading fire systems Police and medical checks funded Long-term reliable workload across essential infrastructure Your day-to-day: Service, maintain, and fault-find dry fire alarm systems across commercial and critical sites Work on a range of panels including Siemens, Notifier, Honeywell (Notifier and Fire-Lite), Pertronic, Ampac, MX1, F**** and more Carry out testing, inspections,
and preventative maintenance in line with standards Diagnose system faults and deliver effective technical solutions on-site Respond to service calls and breakdowns across allocated sites Complete accurate service reports and compliance documentation Liaise with site contacts, clients, and contractors professionally Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with regulations and procedures Support continuous improvement of system performance and reliability About you: Experience as a Fire Technician (dry fire systems) or similar role Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and fault-finding Experience across multiple panel types (Siemens, Notifier, Honeywell, etc.) highly regarded Ability to work independently and manage service work across sites Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Good communication and customer service skills Australian Citizenship (required for NV1 clearance eligibility) Ability to pass police and medical checks (funded) Positive, team-oriented attitude with willingness to upskill Got questions?
