As a Workday Payroll Consultant, you will liaise with clients to understand their payroll requirements and design and configure Workday to deliver against these.
You will lead requirements gathering sessions, prepare specifications and workbooks and consider Workday valuable practice in informing solutions.
This role sits within Group Elephant Australia Pty Ltd, an Associated Entity of Epi-Use Australia Pty Ltd.
You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and delivering Workday Payroll that align with client policies, compliance requirements, and operational needs.
Specifically, you will apply subject matter expertise and specialisation in the Workday Payroll solution set, including certification in Workday Australia Payroll.
Preferably you will have prior experience in operating or managing payroll environments.
You will work closely with stakeholders to understand Payroll and related compliance policies, processes and business requirements, guiding on areas for improvement and translating business need into scalable and efficient business outcomes delivered through Workday.
You will play a key role across the full implementation lifecycle, from discovery through to deployment and post-go-live support, ensuring successful outcomes and strong user adoption.
Key Responsibilities Client Engagement Delivery Partner with Project Managers to ensure delivery aligns with scope, timelines, and client expectations.
Facilitate solution design and Workday Payroll training for client business users.
Support pre-sales from a Payroll knowledge standpoint.
Requirements Design Engage with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements for Workday Payroll.
Translate business requirements into functional designs and specifications.
Provide good practice guidance on Workday Payroll.
Bring an understanding of interaction between Payroll, Absence Management and Time Tracking to guide clients on most effective solution.




Configuration Build Configure and support Workday Payroll, ensuring solution delivery is scalable, efficient, and aligned to client needs.
Collaborate with broader functional, technical and integration teams to ensure cohesive solutions.
Testing Deployment Support defect management and resolution throughout testing cycles.
Assist with cutover planning, data validation, and go-live readiness for the relevant Workday components.
Post Go-Live Support Provide hypercare support and ongoing optimisation recommendations.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimisation.
Experience (Mandatory) Proven experience in the payroll domain, including implementing Workday's Payroll solution set.
6 years+ working in payroll and at least 2 years' experience with Workday Payroll.
Must be Implementer certified in Workday Australia Payroll.
Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end implementation/s of Workday Payroll, with an understanding of local compliance.
Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and client-facing consulting experience.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Clear communication skills and able to advise clients on solution options and implementation approach.
Experience (Desired) Process mapping and business process optimisation.
Certifications in Workday Absence Management, Time Tracking, other Workday Payrolls.
Exposure to reporting and analytics within Workday, specifically related to Pay and Time Management.
Knowledge of broader HCM processes within Workday.
