Position: Chef Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Kadina SA **** Our client is looking for an energetic Chef to be part of their team.
They offer authentic Indian cuisine where tradition meets innovation.

We require a highly motivated and skilled Chef to join the team on a full -time basis.
If you are adaptable, open minded, flexible, creative, have a sense of humour and can be organised and follow our procedures then you are the right person to apply for this position Key duties and responsibilities: Planning and organising the preparation and cooking of food within our restaurant Designing and updating menus to feature traditional and contemporary Indian dishes.
Incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients while aligning menu offerings with customer preferences and current food trends.
Collaborating with the kitchen team to create innovative dishes Experimenting with recipes to enhance the dining experience while preserving the authenticity of Indian flavours.
Preparing and cooking Indian dishes to meet the restaurant's high standards for taste, presentation, and quality.
Ensuring consistency in flavour, portion size, and presentation across all dishes served.
Ensuring all dishes adhere to the restaurant's quality standards, including taste, presentation, portion control, and compliance with food safety regulations.




Overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth preparation and timely service of meals.
Estimating and monitoring food costs by reducing wastage, optimizing ingredient usage, and sourcing cost-effective supplies from trusted vendors.
Supervising, hiring and training kitchen staff to maintain proper cooking techniques, hygiene practices, and expertise in Indian food preparation.
Ordering fresh meat, fruit, vegetables, spices, and specialty Indian ingredients, managing inventory to minimize waste and ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations.
Maintaining an organized and efficient kitchen stock system, ensuring the availability of key ingredients.
Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen setting, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Ensuring proper storage and labelling of ingredients to prevent contamination or spoilage.
To be considered for this role, you should: Hold an AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery Have at least one (1) year work experience in Indian Cuisine Experience in large group catering Sound knowledge of kitchen health and safety legislation National Police Check Possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members Be willing to follow directions and ask questions for clarification if needed Good interpersonal and communication skills Able to work in a fast paced environment; multitask and handle stress Able to commit beyond normal working hours as when required.
