Job description Our client is a well-established ASX-listed company.
With a close-knit, high-performing Finance team, they're now looking for a Financial Accountant to join them on a permanent basis at their Brisbane CBD corporate office.
This is a great opportunity for a technically strong accountant who wants exposure to the full breadth of financial reporting, tax compliance and ERP systems work within a dynamic, ASX-listed resources environment, including a key role in an exciting Pronto ERP upgrade project.
About the Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a central role in delivering accurate, timely month-end reporting, half-year and year-end financial statements, and tax and compliance deliverables, while also contributing meaningfully to financial and physical variance analysis across the business.
Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of half-year and year-end statutory financial statements, including supporting schedules and disclosures Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and adjusting entries Deliver month-end accounting and reporting tasks to a high standard within tight deadlines Prepare monthly BAS and annual FBT workings, and support recurring tax deliverables to external advisors Play a key, active role in a Pronto ERP upgrade; contributing to solution design, testing and stakeholder engagement, and later acting as a Pronto Knowledge Champion Perform detailed monthly variance analysis,
leading discussions with departmental stakeholders to investigate and document movements Support internal and external audit processes, including preparation of deliverables and resolution of queries Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting Provide broader support across the Finance team, including backfill as required About You Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, economics or a related field; CA/CPA qualified or progressing is highly regarded Demonstrated experience in a financial accounting role, ideally within resources or an ASX-listed environment Experience with ERP systems (Pronto Xi highly regarded) and a strong interest in finance technology and automation Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail Confident communicator, comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels Organised, deadline-driven and outcome-focused, with the flexibility to step up during peak reporting periods A collaborative team player who works autonomously with sound judgement This is a rare chance to join a lean, high-performing finance team, gain genuine exposure to statutory reporting and tax compliance, and be part of a significant ERP transformation project from the ground up, all while building your career in a supportive, values-driven culture.
