Senior Software Engineer (Contract) Melbourne | 6-Month Contract | Hybrid Working We're partnering with a respected professional services organisation undergoing significant technology transformation and are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team.
This is a hands-on senior engineering role where you'll design, build and operate up-to-date cloud-native solutions while contributing to technical direction, engineering standards and architectural decisions.
What You'll Be Doing Designing and building scalable cloud-native applications, APIs and integrations Developing event-driven and serverless solutions using modern cloud platforms Providing technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring and engineering best practices Collaborating with architects, product owners and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions Contributing to the modernisation of existing platforms and applications Championing DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing and observability practices Ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, maintainable and cost-effective What We're Looking For Solid commercial experience as a Senior Software Engineer or similar role Expertise with TypeScript and Node.js (Next.js experience highly regarded) Experience building cloud-native applications on Azure, AWS or GCP Proven delivery of distributed,



event-driven and asynchronous systems Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns and modern software architecture Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and cloud observability practices Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Experience working in Agile delivery environments Nice to Have Experience with serverless architectures NoSQL database experience, including data modelling and optimisation Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS or GCP) Experience modernising legacy applications and platforms Exposure to highly regulated or enterprise environments Why Apply?
