We're looking for a talented Senior Fire Services Engineer to join a dynamic Building Services team delivering landmark commercial, residential, healthcare, and infrastructure projects across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
About the Role As a Senior Fire Services Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping safe, compliant, and innovative fire protection solutions from concept through to construction and commissioning.
You'll lead the design of wet and dry fire systems , provide expert technical guidance, and ensure projects meet the highest standards of performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities Lead fire protection engineering design (hydrants, sprinklers, fire pumps, detection, suppression, and smoke control systems) Ensure full compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC) , Australian Standards (AS ****, AS ****, AS **** etc.), and project-specific performance requirements Prepare fire engineering briefs, reports, and detailed design documentation Collaborate closely with architects, MEP teams, clients, and certifiers using BIM/Revit workflows Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering Mentor junior engineers and support bids for exciting new projects What You'll Bring Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Fire, or equivalent)



6+ years' experience in fire services/protection engineering within the building services industry in Australia Strong technical expertise in fire system design and hydraulic calculations Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget Proficiency with design software (Revit MEP, AutoCAD, hydraulic modelling tools) Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, client-focused approach CPEng or working towards accreditation is highly regarded Why Join Us?
