CCGT is looking for a 1st Year Apprentice Mechanic to join a busy automotive workshop on the Central Coast.No previous workshop experience is needed.
You just need to be reliable, keen to learn and genuinely interested in vehicles.
You will be employed by Central Coast Group Training (CCGT) and placed with the Host Employer for your day-to-day work.
CCGT will support you throughout your apprenticeship while you complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
This is a full-time role, working 38 hours per week.
Standard hours are generally 8:00am to 4:06pm.
Some overtime and weekend work may be required What You'll Actually Be Doing Your first few months will focus on learning workshop safety, getting familiar with tools and equipment, and helping qualified technicians with daily jobs.
As your skills grow, you'll start learning how to: Service vehicles and complete routine maintenance Assist with light vehicle diagnostics using diagnostic tools Help repair vehicles and replace faulty parts Learn how technicians identify and fix vehicle issues Assist with road testing under supervision Use tools and workshop equipment safely Keep your work area clean,



safe and organised Follow workshop processes and safety procedures You will not be expected to know everything on day one.
The goal is to listen, ask questions and keep improving.

fast-moving workshop environment Are willing to complete overtime when required Have a driver's licence Have your own vehicle School projects, work experience, sport, volunteering, car projects, hobbies or helping family all count.
Include anything that shows you are reliable, practical and willing to have a go.
Pay This is a paid, full-time apprenticeship.
Current first-year apprentice rates are: $***** per hour, or approximately $****** per week for Under 21, not completed year 12 $***** per hour, or approximately $****** per week for Under 21, completed year 12 $***** per hour, or approximately $****** per week for Adult (over 21) Rates are before tax and based on 38 ordinary hours per week.
Your exact rate will depend on the applicable apprenticeship classification and will be confirmed before an employment offer is made.
Superannuation and any applicable overtime, penalty rates and allowances are paid in addition.
