The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced
Senior Civil Design Engineer
to join our Canberra office.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to take the next step in their career. You will lead a diverse range of land development and civil infrastructure projects while working directly with our Principal Engineers, clients and approval authorities.
Unlike larger consultancies, this role provides genuine autonomy and exposure to every stage of project delivery. You will have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, mentor junior engineers,



build client relationships and contribute to the continued growth and success of the business.

Key Responsibilities
Leading the planning, design and delivery of civil engineering and land development projects.
Managing projects from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design, approvals and construction support.
Providing technical leadership in the design of roads, stormwater, sewer, water supply and earthworks.
Reviewing engineering designs, reports, specifications and construction documentation.
Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, including planners, surveyors, architects, landscape architects and specialist consultants.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors and approval authorities, including ACT Government agencies, Icon Water and surrounding NSW councils.
Managing project budgets, programmes and resources to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Mentoring graduate and junior engineers and supporting their professional development.
Identifying engineering risks and developing practical, innovative and commercially sound solutions.
Assisting with business development, proposal preparation and client presentations.
About You




A Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
A minimum of
8 years'
experience in civil engineering design, with a strong focus on land development and civil infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated experience delivering projects within the ACT and surrounding NSW region.
Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, local authority requirements and engineering best practice.
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects and coordinating project teams.
Excellent communication, client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
Strong commercial awareness and project management capability.
A commitment to mentoring and developing less experienced engineers.
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), or working towards Chartership (desirable).
