Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook authentic Mexican dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
Prepare, portion, season and organise ingredients before service.
Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure food is cooked, presented and portioned consistently to a high standard.
Prepare sauces, salsas, marinades and other food components required for daily operations.




Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations and comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
Monitor stock levels, minimise food wastage and assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
Assist with menu development, daily kitchen operations and training of junior staff where required.
Qualifications Experience Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification.
Diploma of Hospitality Management or a related qualification is desirable.
Minimum one year of experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
Experience preparing authentic Mexican cuisine or working in a Mexican restaurant is highly regarded.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, commercial kitchen operations and food safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with excellent organisational and teamwork skills.
Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer experiences.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
