Principal Project Manager Contract for 6 months with possible extension| Brisbane CBD | Hybrid Working We're partnering with a major Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Principal Project Manager.
In this role you will provide strategic leadership and supports governance, to ensure successful implementation of critical digital infrastructure to support safe, reliable, and future-ready healthcare services.
The role operates in a 'high-stakes, multi-stakeholder setting, requiring strong leadership, technical fluency, and the ability to manage complexity across clinical, operational and ICT domains. What you'll be doing Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of a major ICT infrastructure replacement project, including data centres, networks, servers, storage and enterprise platforms. The ability to validate technical approaches, oversee quality management activities and ensure infrastructure decisions support both immediate project outcomes and future operational requirements. Manage vendor and supplier performance and delivery, ensuring solutions are delivered to budget, schedule, quality standards, and contractual requirements. Oversee all change, cutover, and transition activities to ensure operational readiness, minimal service disruption, and continuity of critical business and clinical services. Develop key technical documentation including migration strategies, change requests, fallback and rollback procedures, and facilitate 'outage' coordination,
post implementation support and 'transition to operations'.
Develop or modify support models and 'transition to operations' documentation, to ensure a high-level of ongoing support can be provided and maintained following project closure.
What we're looking for Relevant Project Management qualification, while not mandatory, would be well regarded such as tertiary qualifications, PRINCE2 practitioner level (preferred), Agile and/or PMBOK.
Experience in managing complex, ICT infrastructure projects in a health environment is required.
This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle, and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required.
Proof of this endorsement must be provided before commencement of duty.
The incumbent of the position may be required or requested to work from any of the facilities at various times.
