- Residence Pathway Our client is a labour hire company with numerous contracts around Victoria.
These positions may be of interest to Working Holiday or Work and Holiday visa holders, as it may provide a pathway to sponsorship for the right people.
We are looking for a number of fulltime boners and slicers for morning and afternoon shifts.
Boners/Slicers The positions would involve the following duties: • Transfer of meat cuts from supply rails to boning tables.
• Cutting meat to separate meat, fat and tissue from around bones.
• Washing, scraping, and trimming foreign material and blood from meat.
• Cutting sides and quarters of meat into standard meat cuts, removing unwanted matter to prepare them for packing and marketing.

Experience and Qualifications • Previous experience within the meat industry would be an advantage • Knife skills and maintenance of personal equipment • Attention to detail • Excellent reliability, attendance and timekeeping at work • Good communication and positive teamwork • Sound problem solving capabilities, including reporting malfunctioning of equipment, or workplace health and safety issues • Ability to manage priorities to meet production schedules • Ability to work within a cold storage setting and with raw meat products • Understanding of Australian meat industry • Fully vaccinated for Q Fever (or be willing to undergo the Q Fever vaccination process) • Must complete a Pre-employment medical functional drug and alcohol test • Minimum of 18 months of experience Please forward a copy of your resume and information regarding your visa.
